I don't know how you were able to get that much so quickly, although I believe you, but I've been having trouble with this. Flashget is great, but the Download All doesn't work for me, so I'm loading it's queue with the files one at a time. Even then I have to pace myself, if I load up too many too quick, some of them appear to time out. Also I'm finding that I have to clean the cookies after each game to keep Yahoo from tracking me; I've discovered that some folders were appearing empty for me because of account confusion (not mine, but the many, many used for storage by 3dsl).

OK, here is how I download so much...
first of all I have a 24MBPS line, that lets me download ~1700kb/sec...
BUT
yahoo briefcase stuff seems to be capped at 25-30kb/sec per download.
SO
using flashget (that works perfect for me on Vista32bit/IE) I can get 8x30=~240kb/sec
it is true that u can get from 3 different accounts data, if you let links long enough they just die.
THUS
I actually use 2 PC's (my main one and a mITX fileserver I have, side by side)
I max out one , then creat lists on the other... I practically download with ~450kb/sec from briefcases.... Using flashget makes it too easy

Have no doubt that I do get the files and will upload them, I have uploaded in Underground Gamer so far ~1TB.

I LOVE old pc-games of the time I was a teenager, there is no way I will let them die. Even RIPS have their own special magic, I am very happy when I see that some are actually original scene releases with installers and all the goodies.
It is not easy to co-ordinate so many downloads, but I am used to it, I was actually active in the 1998-2001 scene... not much of a big deal but helps me

So if you are doing 1996 , then I guess I will take 2000

ps. you say flashget does not work for you? you do know that now it is freeware and you can grab it here: http://www.flashget.com/

maybe u use an older version?

After I've completed uploading the 1994-1996 games elsewhere I'll focus on the smaller 1991-1993 section since the other guy can't do it. That'll be in a couple of days. At this point it's 4 days before YB closes!

yes, no problem. It may take some time though, my upload is only 100kb/sec , but with the 4shared upload tool this is no problem

Star Wars Shadow of the Empire missing R10,R11,R12
and finally Tombraider 2 had missing parts, but I replaced it with the original PDM release from my own archive of back then...

seriously though, I do "sacrifice" lots of time on this effort, ditching friends, avoiding stuff

it is really not that hard when using 2 pc's and a fast connection... it is just so damn tedius!

I thought 4shared accounts where OK as long as the owner logged in them every ~20days or so... Do you have anything else to suggest? Perhaps a rapidshare collector's account?

freebie accounts only have 35gig transfer after this mark they delete random files, logging in only moves the deletion mark not the bandwidth limit and those random deletions
