You can use the same format of pages as we are using currently. All that's needed is a new menu to be made and to change colour background. So, all that you have to do is copy & paste a game entry table each time you add a new one. Plus, there's an index database for the top of each year and A-Z Index page & search functions, but that's only adding one line per game. For the game descriptions, just copy an official publisher one or from various websites. Same goes for cover, screenshot/review/info links. There's also our download script which requires entry on webpage of each titles info and the corresponding download links.
As long as you are committed to updating regularly, we can see how it goes for a month, when you can pass us the updated html pages. Then if all is ok, we'll give you full access to updating hmtl through ftp submitting on your own.
I'll pass you the sample html pages soon and html editor.
Meanwhile, is there anyone who can make us a simple page menu similar to our current 3DSL one? Preferrably, just html links over a jpg like in 3DSL site would be simpler.

Unfortunately, our volunteer to do the Strategy Legends site got sidetracked with other projects and can no longer start it. However, the site layout, menu and game list index has all been completed. If anyone wants to start updating it, they could begin right away. How much you add is obviously up to you and don't feel that you need to live up to standards of 3D Shooter and Adventure Legends. If all u want to add is a game cover and download links then it's still a good resource for people who want to play old strategies. Links to abandonware downloads could be easily listed by using the search at Independent Software too. If interested, post here or pm me with any questions you have.

I love strategy games and a Strategy Legends would be awesome. Sadly I have no time to take on such a responsibility... unless people find it ok that the site is only updated sporadicly during the summer.
Some people are like slinkies... They're not really good for much but they do bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Hmm, I think I may have a possible solution for this issue, & I would like to make another loosely related suggestion.
There are still a few good sites around the world where a great majority of pc games can be found, & this is definitely a great one & getting better.
Clearly practically everyone is in agreement that a rts/strategy site in addition to the 3dshooter & adventure ones is a good idea, & everyone also seems in agreement that it is expensive & a lot of work & that the staff & admins already have their hands full maintaining these two great sites. While it is a great idea it may take a while before it can come to fruition.
Whenever I visit a game hosting/linking site the first thing I look for is an Rpg section, & then Strategy, FPS, Adventure, Adult & Simulation ones.
While there is a great selection of Rpg games on Advl, I wanted to suggest that an Rpg site as well as a strategy one would be a great idea, Rpg is arguably an even more popular category than Rts.
Since creating an Rpg site would face probably the same level of support & the same problems as creating a Rts one, I wanted to make a suggestion that may work to solve some of these problems temporarily until there are resources/manpower to create these & other genre sections.
So far it seems that the role playing games that are not in 3rd person go into the Advl site, & I thought one solution might be to add a genre category to adventure legends, so that in addition to searching for games by year or alphabetically, games could be searched for by Rpg category or by Rts category, or Adult or Fan-made, or Foreign Language etc...
Does anyone else think this might be a good idea?
Although games like Age Of Empires, AOE 2, & Warcraft etc are not strictly adventure games, they could be described as adventures, or legends of adventure, & there are already many strict Rpg genre games on Advl, so adding Rts games would not seem like a problem until a more permanent solution could be found.
This would also allow for even more popular genres to be added without having to host a domain for each one immediately, & when the opportunity for a domain arises, the games would all be categorised with their dL links & reviews/screenshots etc already upped & ready.
I would like to browse Advl by genre, even 3dsl could be split into more intricate FPS genres, such as hovertank/descent type clones which move very fast & have a more machine-like feel to them & wolf type clones where you move stealthily on foot & can climb & crouch & jump etc.
I would like to hear the opinions of some of the site elders & contributors & everyone else regarding my suggestion, as I have said on several occasions, these are two of my favourite sites, & I have been meaning to contribute to this particular thread for a while now, as it seems to be very much worth everyone putting in the effort.
