Re: Need some info
You could use one of the imaging tools out there, like PowerISO, MagicISO, UltraISO etc. etc. Not sure if they keep the audio tracks intact when you add something.

Re: Need some info
Molitor, when you find a time, can you do this for me as before you did for others ( Panic In Park, Congo etc... ). I want only "Ubik CD1" with added SECOND -411.69 KB- patch ( http://www.old-games.ru/game/download/2252.html ) and CD tracks. I'm not sure I can do that, because I tried this before and burned a lot of CD but no luck.Molitor wrote:So save the image as bin/cue (it'll keep the CDA tracks), add the patch to the .bin file and burn it to a CD

Re: Need some info
I think image with the patch option better than custom installer option for this case. Actually only important thing is CDA tracks. Interesting but without CDA even the game won't start, so without them the image is useless.
How can you make this? Please add a "basic" info for me because I have many other CDA games which needed patches. Requiem, Redline, The Devil Inside etc... If I can integrate the patches into these games I can add them to my collection. Otherwise they are useless for me. Yeah, I'm an obsessive person
Thank you very much Molitor.

No I did not use your offerings, you know I don't want install 3rd party programs if I don't need them so much. But I tried Nero's capability and fail. At least for me failed...
... why because I need "step by step" information, not just "use this or that tool". I need "how can I use these things". You know very well too, I'm not a computer guru and my english is not enough for many things as this CDA incident. I want something like that for example;
Step 1-Open PoweISO
Step 2-Select this
Step 3-Click that etc etc.
Once I have some computer genius friends and they solve all of my hardware-software problems but now I'm alone and learning.

Re: Need some info
Learning is the best thing to do
I dunno the procedure with Nero, I always use MagicISO. You can get the freeware limited version (because there's no limits for the bin/cue files) or the full one in our tools section.
1/ Open MagicISO and in the menu select Tools --> Convert...
In "Source file", select the original image (here I use Egon's images)
Select "BIN image file" as output format
And set the output to another folder.

Start conversion.
2/ Open your new .bin file in MagicISO.
On the bottom of the window go to your patches folder location.
On the top of the window (in the image area), make a right click --> New folder.... In my example I call it Extras.
Now Drag and drop the patch file from the bottom to the top of the window, like this:

(I also included the patches Egon submitted).
3/Go to File --> Save...
The program calculates the CRC, it may be long.
So you now have a .bin image with the patches included.
If you open your new .cue file with an editor, you can see the tracks were conserved:
4/ Burn your .bin/.cue file to a CD
If you insert your burned CD in your computer, you can see the Extras folder we created:[/color]

Well done
Install your game, apply patches and enjoy the music

Fair enough, but you could have said so before. Maybe you didn't mean to, but now it looks like you've just ignored someone's advice. That doesn't come over very polite.rastan saga wrote:No I did not use your offerings, you know I don't want install 3rd party programs if I don't need them so much.
I hope you realize the best way to learn is by searching, reading and trying things yourself and not to expect everything brought to you on a plate.rastan saga wrote:Once I have some computer genius friends and they solve all of my hardware-software problems but now I'm alone and learning.
That's about everything you need to do. There's not much more to it. Those tools are very easy to use, so you don't need to be an expert.rastan saga wrote:Step 1-Open PoweISO

Anyway, UltraISO is another way to do it. I can confirm the audio tracks are kept intact after adding extra files.

I ask to you from your knowledge, if you want give to me an advice it's OK but if not at least don't be a c ocksure and don't give so called "life lessons" to anyone. Hey dude, life is my main video game but a serious game... You must take this number one lesson from life; everyone should know their limits.

--- Besides I don't need to be an expert. This is internet, I searched a step by step info about CDA and I found it from here. Thanks again to Molitor for this "less talk much work" solution.

Re: Need some info
You asked for help, received answers from two people and then responded to only one. You should be grateful to everyone who offers to help out and at least give some acknowledgement. This has nothing to do with a language barrier.
BTW.: you were the one who asked what tool could be used for the job but later indicated you didn't want to install 3rd party programs. This also doesn't make any sense.

This was your first reaction after Molitor's and my suggestions. Not a request for more information but one for Molitor to do all the work for you (incl. uploading). How's that for wanting things served on a plate?rastan saga wrote:Molitor, when you find a time, can you do this for me as before you did for others ( Panic In Park, Congo etc... ). This contradicts your earlier statement about "I'm alone and learning". This clearly shows you're not willing to learn anything. Well, then don't expect many people willing to help you either....and I told you before this is not my area and be honest I don't care.
I do not want to know technical things which I do not interest.
True, I don't know you or your life's history, which is of no concern to me. But as a moderator I'm concerned with your reactions and behaviour on this forum, of which you have been warned before. The fact you always take things personal or that you can't handle criticism is your problem. This is no excuse for using bad language. I can only suggest you to work on that.rastan saga wrote:Actually you have no idea about me but you dare talk about me and this is an unpolite behaviour, really.
Many people will come and go for various reasons, as is the case on any forum on the net.rastan saga wrote:But don't worry Shattered, soon I leave this forum forever or I never post anything, like many others...

Re: Need some info
rastan saga, this is a final warning: change your attitude at once or face the consequences!
