Yep, that's likely it. Funny, I'm almost 100% sure that the version I played had no music, but I remember those camera angles when you were fighting those "zombies", and you also backtrack a bit at that point. No wonder I couldn't remember anything about the enemies, or the main character, they were the most generic things ever

I haven't got past the opening arena fight yet:)
The camera angles are a bit off and trying to move your character to fight is difficult.
I think u need to be the right frame of mind to plow through this.

i was always good at guessing games with cryptic description

"right frame of mind" well you have to be good at old games , if your not then just see my walkthough on my channel ... it was a request from a friend that could not run it on his machine
