Re: 4Shared Download
Does anybody else experience problems downloading from 4shared with JD and active registered account?

Invalid account and files are only downloadable with a premium message.

Yes, I get this message: "Only downloadable for registered/premium users". Downloading via browser (with same account) works fine.
This has been going on for days now. For the moment I'm using FreeRapid instead.

Re: 4Shared Download
I've read on the JDownloader forum that downloading from 4shared works with JDownloader 2 Beta.
Tried it with the MULTIOS ZIP package (without Installer).
Go to: --> click on "Other".
Extract the package somewhere and run JDownloaderBETA.exe. Update the plugins and you can download from 4shared. It works.

Strange though that it works with the beta version but not with the stable one.

Re: 4Shared Download
Yes, Yours Truly has been informing the JD developers about such related problems for JD2 Beta -> http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=49593 I can tell you first hand that the fix for JD 0.9.581 has still not been released. It seems like the JD developers are "dragging their feet" on its release even though the fix was already implemented nearly two months ago. JD2 Beta however, is validating registered accounts and parsing files in multi-page, pageframed 4Shared folders. Let's hope JD2 Beta continues to stay that way - I dread everytime JD2 opens and automatically updates itself - You never know what sh*t will be broken after another update!

Re: 4Shared Download
Here is the JDOWNLOADER bootstrap downloader for version 2.0??? This version of JDownloader works very well for me, but it continously loads updates which sometimes causes crashes.

Re: 4Shared Download
Something else i noticed with 4shared :
When i download certain links ,sometimes i get really ,really slow download speed.
But if i turn it into a B1 archive first, the download speed goes back to normal.
So it's a handy tip to remember ,if you're getting very slow download speed with certain 4shared links.
just click ,"download as B1 archive" and it will make a copy of the file in your account with a b1 extension,
which you can then download as normal.
Though you will need the B1 program to extract it afterwards, which is easy to get from the 4shared site.

Re: 4Shared Download
I wonder if they don't intentionally cap the download speed in order to encourage users to get the B1 archiver. Doesn't this software comes with tons of toolbar/PUP things of any kind ? It awfully sounds like the "free" programs bundled with Babylon, searchnu, etc.

Re: 4Shared Download
I, also, find the download speed to be very slow. Less than 100kbs for most files. I'm also using DAP for increase in download speed and its still extremely slow.

Re: 4Shared Download
Well, I currently have no problem for downloading from 4S. I usually get roughly 1500 kb/s for most files, but it's true that sometimes the speed can go terribly down (recently I got ~9kb/s for a week when downloading Dead Space
).
