Seeking Civ 2 Scenarios and Fantastic Worlds packs

I am a bit amazed at how difficult it is to find the two Civ 2 addons, considering how popular the game was.

So far I have only located german ISO's and a cd rip that claims to be the gold copy of the game. Problem is, the gold copy is w95 and later, where-as I am building a win 3.x collection. So it seems I will need to install the addon packs to my win3.x copy of civ2. Since the site is hosting other strategy type games, like Warcraft and such here, I thought I'd check and see if there was any chance of seeing these packs anytime, or if anyone had any suggestions as to where to look for them. Thank you very much for any help.

I suggest to check them all out, because I believe that at least one of these links (check 3rd and 2nd link first - 2nd is in russian, and maintained by my friend who is real game collector) is CIv2 with addons. According to mobygames (http://www.mobygames.com/game/civilizat ... ld-edition):

Civilization II (Multiplayer Gold Edition):
This compilation includes the following games on one single disc:
Sid Meier's Civilization II (base game with new multi-players features)
Sid Meier's Civilization II: Conflicts in Civilization Scenarios (scenario pack)
Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds (scenario pack)
Multiplayer features provide new competition from human players.

I have actually been to these links prior to posting here.

The gameswin copy is majorly ripped. Even so, it is a Win95 executable included. Documentation within the text files support this.

old-games.ru hosts two versions. an iso and a rip. The ISO is confirmed Win95 only. The RIP appears to be as well. It complains about a lack of DPLAYX.DLL when launching in Win3.1. This suggests it is looking or DirectPlay, which is not available for Win 3.1

abandonware utopias iso is confirmed win95 only (downloaded it and tried it yesterday).

I had not tried the oldgames.ru copy yet, so I just downloaded it. It was also the W95 version.

So it looks like I struck out across the board there.

As far as the moby entry goes - it is not a 1:1 copy of the original games just thrown on a disc. The original Civ2 includes WinG for Win3.1, and at install it suggests upgrading to Win95. The Gold version doesn't give this option.

Also, the individual addon packs had their own win3.1 compatible installer. The Gold version lumps all of the addon content into the games install archive, but then locks it behind a new installer that is Win95 only.

Could you please tell me where you located those? I'm specifically searching for the German "Scenarios" and "Fantastic Worlds" for Civ 2.

That's a pity...
But thanks for looking anyway. I've found "Fantastic Worlds" in German and I've just bought "Scenarios" in German for about 7 Dollars, so that's okay.
