I have the above game in my download queue and i was wondering if it needs the english patch from:

I probably don't need to say ,but make sure to check all the entries on right hand side on of that site.
It has a few other patches for lesser known games.

RE:Black Sails ,apparently u need to install the official patch from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 before using the English patch.

But the link is dead on on shinji-nerd site.
I presume the version on adventure legends is v1.0.

Some Patching info i found,might be useful:
(I think it refers to the English patch)
It seems that putting both patch Zip files into the "Black Sails" folder and then extracting the files from there made it "work" for me. make sure you run the "RUN.BAT" file and then overwrite everything it

Summary:
Install game ,
Install German v1.01 patch ,
Then extract 'English patch.zip' files to root game folder and run 'Runme.bat'.
Answer yes to any questions the patch asks.(or press 'A' for all)
Start game and make sure subtitles are switched on in settings.

This game deserves a full English release,i think Deck13 are missing a good earner here.
I sent deck13 a email pointing out that the cost of an English voice over would easily be returned if it was
for sale on GOG and Steam .
I'm positive they'll take my advice

Follow up :
Black Sails is been worked on atmo for a release on steam ,full English version (localized + voice overs). The release is planned later on this year.

Good news!
As a metter of fact I was talking with Jan Klose few years back regarding BlackSails english release, and i think back then the publisher wasn't interested. Right now it seems like cheap cashin tactic as Black Sails TV series (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2375692/reference) is sharing the title.

I think it's just a good time atmo for adventure games.
So i suppose you're right ,maybe it's a cash grab.
They seem to be taking their time to make this new version,
so hopefully it will be a good release.
