not considered final yet because:
01. Could not test func4 because I don't know where it's used (likely world loading triggered). Could be crash buggy.
02. Forgot that there's other MENU languages but one could ideally rip the others from the DVD discs
03. There's a small chance Starforce or Ubisoft left another piece of anti-tamper or stolen VM code - someone would need a full playthrough with sound on to check for crash or very odd bugs that don't happen in official retail play. They protected US better than EU version.
04. If possible, still want to figure out where decap switch is and fix via blood toggle (ideally using non-SF DVD exe)


Please drop a note if this works in Win 8/10.

I've just tested it.

The first time the game didn't go further after the loading screen (after selecting a new game from the menu). The second time it went past. After the intro movie when you are able to move the prince the screen becomes a bright yellow (like looking into the sun) and I could only see the shadow of the prince and the health bar.

Windows 7 64-bit. Resolution in-game: 1920 x 1080. Tested on US 3CD version.

That's weird because I tried the intro tutorial and didn't run into any problems. Loaded The Bowery and cut the archer in two. And didn't do too well as Dark Prince in the water well level.

What bugs me is that your game probably works fine with the normal DVD exe using the same exact settings? Language is currently set to English?

Language is English. The EU DVD version runs fine here.

US dump better run in VMWare because I can't get it to run in XP native.

Debugged func1 = pause menu (okay), func4 = environmental damage (okay).

Does (every/any)one else have same problem as Shattered when using test crack? I have to figure out whether EU exe has some graphics card compatibility fix or if it's a crack problem. More people who test, better idea I have what to do next. May just trash crack exe when I'm done with the project.

The problem could be on my end. I can't test the US release without crack, because I'm on Windows 7 (StarForce). It worked fine on XP and Vista.

Anti-aliasing causes funky problems for some. I can't use AA either as it turns screen all white.

Will keep searching on what this "lighting" effect is. Have you tried loading other levels like Mental Realm or an indoors map?

Then it must be the new drivers. Those topics describe exactly the same problem I have.

I will also install the EU version to see if I have the problem there as well.

Bad news is another anti-tamper seems to pick up that game is altered = refuses to load next level section at trigger checks. Fall through floor, enemies go bye.

Good news is that I've located decap trigger in US exe. Turned it on/off several times. Debugging EU exe to find what they did here.

Just to confirm: I have the exact same problems with the EU DVD version, so it's not crack related.

Turning of Anti-Aliasing fixed the problem with the white screen. I also had the "stuck at loading screen" problem with the EU DVD. Now it seems to work better after running it as administrator.

Ubisoft Time Punker #10 removed. Played 30 minutes without problems. While I know where gore codepath runs, still cannot find exact or reliable switch. It's very strange how they modified it from WW.

Played from start to first real boss fight - died because I forgot how to do the 3rd part. I had to fix the timer check a different way and everything works now. Game seems more practical with the gore actually. Forgot how much fun this game is. And I think Starforce + Ubisoft custom DRM is dead.

I think EU treats all enemies as "human" flag which turns off gore. Easy idea but hard to find.
