Turning Point: Fall of Liberty crash

So, I downloaded Turning Point: Fall of Liberty off of the link from 4shared. It installed fine,via an MDX file that I ran with DT Lite, but when I went to replace the EXE with the crack, then tried to run it, I keep getting a crash that just says "Turning Point Fall of Liberty has stopped working." I run Windows 7 64-bit. I've been searching trying to find an answer, but no go.

Yeah, got the same error with both. Downloaded a couple more, as well, off of GameCopyWorld and Megagames, but got the same problem.

I'm sure the game worked for me on Windows 7 64-bit. It works by mounting the image into a virtual IDE drive in order to bypass the SecuROM check, but for that you need DAEMON Tools Pro or Lite Personal. I didn't test the cracks at that time.

Now I'm on Windows 8.1 64-bit and I did some tests:

- The game runs fine in a virtual IDE drive without crack
- The RELOADED crack didn't work for me
- The Fairlight crack worked for me

As an alternative you could install the Turning Point: Fall of Libery upgrade amBX:

The executable in that patch is different from the initial one, and so is the version of SecuROM (v7.37) (the initial exe has v7.36). This version will run with the MDX image mounted in a SCSI drive (tested in DT Lite personal and Alcohol 120%), so no need for a vIDE (DT Lite should work fine).

Still getting the same problems. I mounted it both a regular virtual drive and also an SCSI drive, and when running it without the crack, SecuROM was triggered both times, and with both cracks, I got the same error. I downloaded and installed the upgrade you linked and still nothing changed.

Do you have update KB3086255 installed? It breaks compatibility with SafeDisc and certain SecuROM versions:

I actually uninstalled it so I could play Mafia 1. Tried running it as an admin, still nothing. I think I'll just have to skip it, or buy a cheap hard copy somewhere.

also the game crashed for me on win10 and 8.1 so like hammercorps says i tried both cracks not work and i tried a repack from rg mechanics with no luck and i installed the ambx patch so what now? did i need to run cmd to disable or active secdrv there is nothing in win10 i want to play this game i liked the idea should i use the cracks after ambx patch? i am using win10x64 and i have win8.1 x64 too and intel graphics hd 630 i am using deamon tools lite ,should i need pro? do i need a graphic card amd or nvidia to play this?
edit:it launches but i got error it says not working
edit: i think i need a real graphic card and i will retest it once more and i will return
edit:it worked simply in win8.1 i installed the game normally with deamon tools lite and without installing the ambx patch and i than put fairlight crack and it worked
