Highjacking

Would like to request a title (for its availability @ poporu): Cheollang Yeoljeon - reason being StarForce crk status verification (the mirror I've found long ago misses a few final parts at disc 2/3, IDK if that site is hostile towards re-up requests, haven't found another mirror since ). Not interested much in (partial) Diablo-clones nor Chosongul ( ), just wanna verify if disc 3/3 is an actual NoCD and that it dissolves the notorious tumor
in advance...

edit: Here. Sorry for the wait: I thought a repack was needed. Stupid random korean used lame zip compression. And the patch was compressed with obscure .alz format -> repacked to 7z. Not tested.

The images are good (as in non-corrupt complete), but the DRM is Alpha-ROM, not StarForce (verified with latest pID, dunno of any unpackers/emulators existing for it). Forgot grabbing an IDE drive emu (crk'd latest warez), thus deleting the game after realizing the third folder's contents are just a standard play disc + an official patch that doesn't remove DRM; i.e. no NoCD crk in sight as initially thought (I can reDL for more thorough testing per request ). Apart from that all is legit (poporu's rls is a mirror off humans before the latter lost those few parts, no wonder it was packed with POS that is ALZip), for the rls myloch

I saw those Alpha-rom utilities but they are very old, it's all in korean and afaik they don't work in vista or newer pc so it's too much of an hassle for me right now.

Managed to unwrap game executable thanks to one of those tools (2.1～3.1 rev4), however ctd here. No luck.

CTD as in desktop only, or has it been in black (or splash screens) at all? Disc 3/3 had FMVs (AVI) that didn't goto Program Files so try leaving it mounted or c/p the folder or something. Also for the EXE but did you use 1.0 or the included patch one (of the game, not the unpacker )? Plus have you succeeded in applying the patch in the first place (the included installer kept erroring @ me POS W10 so I manually c/p'd its contents, dunno how viable is that)? in advance...

I installed patch v1065 and used that tool on updated exe. It creates a smaller new exe but it crashes when executing game on Xp or error popup "error: loader couldn't initialize service" when running on sevenX64. I found another tool here but it doesn't seem to work too.

I tried asking for help in fileforums, they apparently already cleaned some files with that protection, they said it's not that hard to cr@ck.
Let's see if someone replies to my call

Confirming just now, Cheollang Yeoljeon installs, patches, and works properly on VMware XP SP2 guest (play disc, 3/3, mounted on DTUltra, IDE emulation), but got fruitless as well with generic unpackers (in the same manner as described above). As for host (W10 x64 POS) I can also confirm that the outdated version of the AlphaROM wrapper present within the main executable is solely to be blamed for its inability of operation... I'm too verbose it hurts
Anyhoo enough Chosongul for me, here's hope someone NoCDs the thing to rest

Also Yulhyul Kangho also failed right before the menu (maybe a blessing in disguise ), on me usual POS, might have tried DXwnd but as I have failed in making it work with Metro-Police I have more hopes running it on a VM sadly

Ahoy there! I recently found a cd rip of Office Yeoin Cheonha (오피스여인천하).
It includes one of those crappy/suspect nocds by cafe.naver (protectionid: exe wrapped in molebox).
Original exe seems to be protected by Safedisc 2.51.21. I tried using some old tools from gamefix but all I obtained is a truncated file or an executable that does nothing. Cafenaver cr@ck works but I really hate how they used to tamper their exes with silly packers and suspect behaviors.

Yeah I saw the gold thing, it sounds new to me: they recently had free downloads and earlier you had to post a comment on a game's page in order to unlock download for it. Don't panic: most of the games are available elsewhere. Just focus on what is really exclusive.
As you can see, last 2 downloads from poporu ---> 2 games not working with bad cr@ck

update: Cafe.naver exe of Office Yeoin Cheonha was wrapped with Molebox. Here is unpacked exe. Checked with virustotal, many antiviruses still flag it as infected or suspect and that stupid cafe.naver popup intro is still there. Imho best solution would be to cr@ck vanilla safedisc exe from scratch. Vanilla game exe (not cr@cked) HERE.
