Running on Laptop or any PC with a powerful GPU, (Windows 7 - 10) I observe:

It HATES GPUs. When Integrated at Widescreen, Menu is normal & goes to display settings. When using NVIDIA, I got an endless menu loop! When setting to 800X600 to go to display settings, It crashed! It'll work normal with Integrated. GUH! I really want to play it at Max Graphics settings. X[.

Your not alone in the dark ... in 2 sec googling , i found many people bought this on steam sale back in 2014 ... and found out the configuration menu is broken on Win 7 , 8 , 8.1 and Win10 aka all systems 64bit ... seeing that Atari and its other companies bankrupted (this game was made by Eden) people where hope less for a patch... till they found out where the Ini of this game is, and you could set the game manually

edit the ini in C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Atari\AITD\res.aitd :

ResolutionWidth = 1920
ResolutionHeight = 1080
NewResolution = 0
PrevResolutionWidth = 1920
PrevResolutionHeight = 1080

and then start the game as a Administrator (right click , run as admin ) with the Vista Compatibility

The bigger problem is when res.aitd file doesn't exist. Creating new one causes endless menu loop. Attempting to open graphics settings in game menu causes game crashing...

then reinstall the game , this file is made on first run / first install of the game ... but make the install setup run in Admin mode in Vista compatibility , then it be able to add files to the User appdata folders ... it works
