A picture of Caleb (Blood 2) would be cool, too.

Okay... take everything you get. Everything that looks like "Uhh.. that's a dude from a 3D shooter"..

But better take "classic" characters from game 'till 1998 'cause the user should know with the first look that this site is dedicated to the legends in 3D Shooter genre.

As usual just my opinion...

That Doom 3 Alpha site is too dark IMO, we don't want people to strain their eyes and need glasses, hehe.

However... you should have that doom thing just as it is now in No. 3. It looks very nice!

Thanks for these, freakboy!

Personally I love the third one with the bullet and trail effect. I agree with dead-meat, especially the splash of red coloring offsets nicely the grey of the pages so it's not so gloomy.

If you could make the "3D" letters with more shadow effect so that they look more solid and 3-dimensional that would be better.

Also, on the buttons - can they have a similar 3D effect? Change the button lettering to all capitals, remove the underlines and make the font more thicker and solid and use a light color for the letters....just to see how it looks. Right now it's too much darkness in the buttons I think.

To Freakboy

I liked the new 3DSL logo. gray bluish coloured and with the gun shots.

And the left frame is very cool, but I think that the lettes could be more big and
with a font like 'Tahoma' or 'Impact'

'Impact' would be a nice font. As 3D FPS games needs/have Impact, so I think that the font will be more interesting.

My personal opinion: I don't like so much the gray body color from 3DSL site, I think that the color could be changed to black color with the lettes in cyan/white or the yellow.

Or with the body color in blue and the letters in yellow/white.

I think that the site needs more hot colors. Like Red/Yellow/Orange.

I think that site will be more excitting with hot colors, and not only the same and boring gray color.

This remember me the game Quake and one of Quake Faq's that I had read.

"Quake looks like a study on the brown color, with 256 brown color tonalities"

To be exactly, I think that I get the sentence above from a Hexen II FAQ.

Believe in me or not, but the gray color of the 3DSL site is bad.

Yeah the grey background will be changed once new design is put in place. The reasoning behind the grey is to signify a gun-metal symbolism, hence the metallic buttons and bulletholes too. I agree that some brighter colors would add more life to the site, that's why in part I liked the site logo with the red Doom graphic before.

freakboy, personally I think the new one is also too dark. I like the lighting effect on the letters but you can't tell what it says until the light outlines the top half. All your continued efforts are greatly appreciated though...

ok, ive made another one, buttons are in flash, but i think i will do em in jpg or html, because i dont know how to make a script to send commands to frame.
Imo cyan fits only to sites that have something to do with science.

I forgot to say that I liked the 4th version.

The 6th version is hellish, man!!! I liked it

But the buttons/letters could be more bigger for a better reading.

Observation: In 1024x768 resolution only if you can get closer to the monitor to see/read the buttons/letters
