The Longest Journey in game error

I have a problem with runing the longest journey.

in first location with tree, eeg, twig, nest and stream after when you use twig and part of the nest on stream, black screen is apear and nothing
is happening. When I press a Esc key, everythink is back to windows.

I think there supposed to be a sort of movie, and lack of it cause the problem.

any idea how to fix

in chapter 7 in a cave, when you look at the altar, game is shut off it self and return to the windows...

any idea how to fix it...

since no body playing here the adventures(brainless shooters funs) , I was force to fix it by my self this error


To fix an error from a cave in chapter 7 you must do it this:

first go to this site:

it's a save for altar puzzle (this with 4 crystals) because the error is there

and read instructions how to instal the save:

now, how to use it.

in chapter 7 when you gonna finde finally cave with altar make a save in that point and look at the altar. Game should shut off it self and back to windows. If this gonna hapend, install te save that I've told you and back to the game.

in load saves section you should have now a picture of altar without any date(your saves have dates when was saved).
do not load it this altar save but this one with I told you to save.

Now everything should works fine, and when you look at the altar, game should not shut off it self.

Lucas Arts made the same a patch to fix the crash fixes after 1,5 years from the release date .

I have the same problem that =D=, when I select the start new game option the game not continue with the first movie, make a prolongated pause and nothing more. If I press Esc then return to windows. I can load another save from the page in Geocities but im sure the same problem persist along the all game and crashes to windows.

I need some help. I can play any videos and all setings are correct. I read first the intructions in all MSInfo in the Movies, Music and Speach addons.
