Alone In The Dark (ISO) No sound problem

I have already used DosBox 8 and VDM Sound but to no avail. By using VDM the game is totally soundless, and after introducing CD-Rom, Dosbox plays the audiotracks. I cannot get any sound effects.

Is there any special config for VDM or perhaps a completely other way to get sound out of this classic?

I'm running the game on Win XP, SoundMAX HD Audio, AMD 3800+ Dual Core
