Mods/Addon section redesign

Post by SeriousSam »

In my opinion the general games site design is OK, simple but useful. The problem is the mods/addon section. I think that only one big page with all mods/addons for all games listed is not good. It would be better to have a menu with games sorted alphabetically, only for those games with mods, not for all available in the whole site.

Is a good idea? Any suggestions about making a redesign?

Thk

P.d.: Scaryfun, you're my hero for making a Super-member :P

Yeah.. would be quite cool.
Like mods.html
....... |-> halflife.html
....... |-> quake.html

and such. maybe add a link to the game's description where the mods are found (i.e.
Half-Life
full demo -> links to ybc
demo -> link to demo
mods -> link to halflife.html

hope you guys know what I mean :P

Yes, I had been planning to put an index at top of Mod-Addon page....I just haven't gotten around to it.
It can still be one page, but at top have list of games and underneath each, have an alphabetical list of all their mods. So that when selecting a mod name, it will go right to it.
As this site is very simply set up, with one page's html available to anyone who wants to work with it...just copy shortcut from main index button for whichever page you want onto separate window and from your browser choose View, Source. You can save it to wordpad as text file or to an html editor and fiddle around and change it. Then send it to us so we can see your handywork. :D

I definitely would appreciate anyone that can help out, 3DSM or others, to do so. I already spend hours updating this site, so I can only do so much by myself.

Thanks,
Scaryfun.
