Runaway - A road adventure under XP

hi guys..i just installed the game on my xp sp2 computer..
i tried lots of nocds,nocd patches, fixes etc.
but the only thing i see when i start the game is black screen and i only hear a very little part of the beginning of the game soundtrack,and then nothing!
what am i supposed to do to make this game work?any ideas?

maybe pressing ESC, SPACE, RETURN ? lol idk..........

no to be serious.....i know that problem i guess everybody who has a pc and is playing games on it knows that problem.........

i guess in most cases installing new / newest graphic driver or sound drivers r the solution or even DIRECT X

but i guess that game is old.......very old to be exact.......so sometimes games just wont run anymore if one uses XP

it just wont work and theres nothing u can do and yes this happens sometimes.....

i have a sapphire radeon x800xl and i believe my drivers are the latest..
any other solutions?

i remember this game having problems with codec packs installed, e.g. Nimo codec pack. could be a reason.

How you solved would be nice to tell, so future problems would be avoided....

well ur right,im sorry..i can't really write a noob guide here because most part of my solution is luck
that was definitely a codec conflict problem..
in game videos may also not like each other with ffdshow..
to make it short,uninstall everything that is codec related than install a codec pack like k-lite mega codec,then mess with truemotion 1,2 codec options and how the renderer should handle them..thats all..i hope im clear..

Damn codecs...that's why i have only FFDShow installed and every movie works...even the game works with it here...
