I hate HALO...

Is anyone else annoyed by this game? I've tried to play it a few times now, I always get irritated by it and quit. I want to like it, I mean it looks nice and all. Considering when it came out it really taxes my system, and it doesn't even look all that good. Plus, I hate the targeting system, you can't aim! The targeting cursor takes up a quarter of the screen, you sort of shoot in the general direction of the enemy, maybe you hit them maybe you don't, it's hard to tell. And then there's machine gun sound fx which sounds like a drum roll on a loose drum. This game was actually popular?

I've beaten this game when it was released. Tell you what, it's one ugly, shitty, nasty, boring, technically outdated and unoptimized piece of work. Avoid at all costs! Atleast you'll save some nerves. The sequel is even worse, simply one huge stinking pile of dog shit. Don't touch it even with 10 feet pole.

the levels they all look the same
and lol of course in some maps u play the areas where you where before again they just got stretched and added a detail here and there.........

but basically its a good game i think

i mean come on be true........ i know many hate MS and gates
but every MS game is a good one.........

and of course the hardware is perfect..... i once had a MS mouse and that thing is still working perfect.......

Not really a big Halo fan myself. I'm more of a Wolfenstein 3D kind of guy.

However, I did enjoy launching vehicles in the first Halo game. Very fun indeed.

Finally some decent thread about Halo after all this hyping.

Even as I don't hate this game that much like the topic starter, I still think that it was a boring, repetive, below average and extremely overhyped shooter. And the story couldn't decide, if it wanted to be serious or goofy.

Maybe the reason for the hype was just the fact, that at that time there didn't exist any real shooters for consoles. If Halo 2 is even worse than Halo 1, it must be really crappy.

Trust me, it's much worse. Awefully ported game. Master Chief is a <i>fig</i>, hate him, so stupid character. This shit must stayed on Xbox. We don't want Halo anymore. Keep it, Microsoft.
