Noir: A Shadowy Thriller, second game I ever played when I found it in the bargain bin nearly 10 years ago. Still have the original box.
Noir requires Windows 95, Windows 3.1 or higher.
Don't know if it will run on an NT based OS. Others might know. You may have to run it in win95 compatablity mode or something if you are using XP.
One thing I do remember is that it refused to run unless the desktop display was set to 640x480 pixels and 256 Colors. It tells you so when you start the game and the settings aren't right.

Nuclear Strike can be a hassle on any modern system. It's a Win 98 native 3Dfx game.
Don't know what system you've got running, but I got it to work on my system with Win XP SP2...
Set all the executables on the disk to Win 98 compatibility mode before installing. When installation is complete, repeat the process for every .exe in the game folder just to be sure.
Now Google for a decent glide wrapper - dgvoodoo should do the job. Make sure you get v1.40 or higher. Run the configuration tool for the glide wrapper. Default options should work. Now put the necessary .dll's in your game folder.
Run the game. It should work (at least it did for me). Nevertheless, IIRC it'll still be pretty unstable. Better to run on a native system with old graphics card. I realize not everyone has one of those lying around, though.
Enjoy the game! It can be a lot of fun, this one.
