I speak Spanish but I had no idea somebody was leeching Egon's links.

Anyway, it doesn't surprise me at all. I've know that site for quite a while, and even though there's some interesting stuff, most of the posted games happen to be stolen links, and there's no credit given to the original uploaders

I thought the traditional reason why sites like Home of the Underdogs didn't enjoy link "stealing" was that it used their bandwidth. But LW is all free hosts for the downloads, and more download hits usually means your upload will stay alive for longer.
So where's the harm ? Isn't it the whole point of uploading them, that people can download them ?

I dont mind too much either ,i mean,its all about sharing i guess,and i got Brave Soul off another site NYU Blogspot or such and they probably got it off somewhere else....ok i didnt use their links i downloaded it and uploaded it to 4shared for Legendsworld user use but its not like i created the iso or some master rip...

I was sort of wondering last time i logged into that 4chan account why Brave soul has like a gazzilion more downloads than the other games...guess that explains it. >.>

Many of the 4shared links indicated in Scaryfun's post can also be found at mcanime.net/foro. All those sites copy from each other, so there is no way of finding out who actually did it in the first place.

Personally, I don't see any honor in copying direct links from uploads by others and then pretending it to be your own work. In my opinion, it's better to re-upload the stuff and to give credit to the original uploader when possible. However, leeching cannot be stopped and stuff will be leaked sooner or later. They will be indexed in search engines for everybody to find.

I also don't really care if others copy my links to other sites/forums. The passwords I put on the archives are not meant to prevent people from leeching, but to point out there is a wonderful site called LegendsWorld. People who find my uploads elsewhere, may come to take a look here. And if there is even one individual who likes this site and actually cares to contribute, I'm a happy man.
