When I wrote "javascript" in my previous post I meant MS JScript. I think it was the upgrade to JScript version 5.7 that allowed 4shared pages to work properly with Opera 10.10. I can't think of any other explanation. Aside from that the 4shared problem seemed to be fixed in Opera 10.50 without the JScript upgrade.
I did file bug reports with both Opera and 4shared when I first noticed the problem last year.
Ordinarily I don't upgrade Opera as soon as the latest version is posted for download but I had read about how fast 10.50 was compared to previous versions so I was eager to try it.
Any Opera users having problems with 4Shared????

Yes, I am trying to figure this MS thing out as well.I_AM wrote:Opera uses it's own internal Javascript engine, not really sure what that MS thing is that you mention.
Some people are like slinkies... They're not really good for much but they do bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
There are too many things with similar names.
MS Java Virtual Machine was Microsoft's version of JAVA and was discontinued in 2001. JScript is something else and is current, JScript 5.8 for IE8. JScript is MS's version of javascript someone told me.
I don't know what the difference is between all these things. All I can say is I had trouble with 4shared for nearly a year and now the problem is gone.
Opera 10.10 didn't work at 4shared before I upgraded to JScript to 5.7. Unless installing Opera 10.50 fixed something and it remained fixed after it was uninstalled and that then allowed Opera 10.10 to work I don't know what else it could have been.

I'm using Opera for years now without any plugins, widgets or other stuff. The developers seem to introduce new bugs with every new version but despite this opera works very well for me.
I've got no problems with 4shared.
To get proper access to it, one has to justify some settings in Opera:
Invoke 4shared.com, right-click "Edit Site Preferences",
- Choose "Cookies" tab, choose "accept cookies from this site"
- (optional) Choose "Content" tab, check "Enable content blocking" (requires a self-defined filter file)
- Choose "Scripts" tab, check "accept javascript", leave all other settings unchecked
- Choose "Network" tab, uncheck "Send referrer information", check "Enable automatic redirection"
Reload the page. If not all elements are shown properly, you can switch to a "user mode" view.
