Starfight VI: Gatekeepers

I haven't seen an entry for this on the Adventure Legends site anywhere. It actually isn't just an adventure game, it's actually a mix of that and a top down flight sim game (Wing Commander III influence anyone?) Though any full blooded adventure gamer will likely want to get the silly flight sim parts out of the way just to get to the good old fashioned adventure portions, which are sadly kind've short, but are always welcome in making a game like this unique from other top down flight sims.

Felt like I didn't give much information about this game to really make the process of making a game entry for this easier, so I did a bit more digging and here's what I found.

Anyway, when the backlog of game entries goes down to a suitable level, maybe all this should be sufficent to warrant adding this game to the site. It's a very well designed little hybrid adventure/overhead space sim game which is kind've reminiscent of the later Wing Commander games given the presentation.

I am getting a 404 (Page Not Found) Error at that link.

They posted here http://www.spacesimcentral.com/viewtopi ... 690#p17690 that:
"Website has moved hosts and there has been a casualty of this move and this was the download area. It looks like it isn't salvageable at all."

Maybe you can find someplace else that has it?

I originally got the game from Home of the Underdogs before it went down and none of the new HOTUs that took over from them has the game.

Its the exact same information just it looks more like the old HOTU. Though http://www.hotud.org has most of the old databases games with working links. On this game however neither has a working link.

I actually first downloaded this game from Home of the Underdogs. The crash really set the site back and may have all but deprived us of a number of hard to find games. The fact that Starfight VI is one of the many games which still don't have downloads there really brings down the limited number of download sites for this game.

Anyway, The two links I posted in my previous reply are the only two working links I was able to discover. They should download properly, but, when in doubt, there's always Getright.

Really hope this gets an entry on the Adventure Legends site as well.

Haha, I also downloaded it when it first appeared at HOTU years back. It looked cool. I'll add entry, no problem.
