After having played the game awhile, I have found it has three problems that will inhibit a good gameplay experience, and while I'm not sure what causes these problems, I have found workarounds to make sure gameplay runs well.
1. Set either the Sudeki.exe or Sudeki Launcher.exe to "Windows 98/ME" compatibility mode to make sure it doesn't crash after the opening video and proceeds to the title screen.
I am not sure why this works, as this game was designed for Windows 2000/XP computers, but this fix has been tested multiple times and is confirmed to work.
P.S. - I also discovered, in case you don't want to have to watch the publisher and Nvidia logos over and over again on startup, you can delete them from the videos folder without harming the game.
2. Due to an odd quirk in the loading scheme for the game (possibly because of how it was ported from the Xbox), the loading will seem to get stuck in a loop. However, simply pressing the Windows key or Alt+Tab then going back to the game will fix this, and the game will proceed loading as normal.
If in a window, this will minimize the game, and in full screen the same, but you can go back to the game without causing it to crash and it will continue normally.
This affects when the game first loads up after the the title screen and when changing areas, though if you have already been to an area once, then the error almost always corrects itself upon subsequent visits to the same game area.
3. For some reason, if you change setting in the launcher before starting the game, it will hang after the opening video prior to the credits. Simply close the game with the Task Manager and restart to fix this.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, and have not been able to confirm if these steps need be taken on 32 bit Vista/Windows 7, but these steps should help the game run smoothly, and I was wondering if anyone know where I can "sticky" this for the benefit of Sudeki players.
