Star Trek Elite Force 2 won't start a new game
The game starts up fine, but when I go to start a new game and choose the difficulty, it asks me if I want to do the training level. When I press Yes or No, the game doesn't start.
What can I do?

No, I can just click "yes" or "no" on the training screen an unlimited amount of times and the game won't start. The multiplayer won't start either.Pratik_Parmar wrote:Does the game crashes?
Or your computer freezes?
It seems as if the game isn't reading the disc.

Copy the crack over. If there is no crack included, download the patch and a crack for it off the web.

Here is the patch...
Here are the cracks.
Install the patch. Download the 1.1 crack and copy the executable over to EF2 folder.

Installed the patch and copied over the crack. It still doesn't work.

And the game is *fully* installed on the drive? What's your operating system?

What operating system? 32 or 64 bit? Have you tried different compatability combinations?

Windows 7 64 bit. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, but it didn't work.Trey wrote:What operating system? 32 or 64 bit? Have you tried different compatability combinations?
Interestingly, the Elite Force 2 demo works perfect.

Discribe what happens when you try to start the game. Do you get any errors?

Re: Star Trek Elite Force 2 won't start a new game
The game starts perfect. It plays the intro movies, then goes to the main menu. I click on new game and select a dificulty level. Then, a message asking if I want to do the "training" pops up. Whether I click on "yes" or "no", nothing happens. The "yes" or "no" buttons glow and I hear a noise, but it doesn't go into the game. if I hit ESC, it goes back to the main menu.Trey wrote:Discribe what happens when you try to start the game. This is an old thread, but I still never got EF2 to work. Has anyone experienced this problem with the game?

Just tried this. Didn't do anything.SpecX wrote:Try running it as administrator, and run it on an older version of Windows through Properties --> Compatibility.
Anyways, see if this helps:

Re: Star Trek Elite Force 2 won't start a new game
I'll try it on my old Windows XP machine lying around somewhere. I'll get back in a few days on that.
What's interesting is that the demo of Elite Force 2 runs perfectly fine on my Windows 7 machine.
UPDATE: Still trying to get it to run on Win 7, I've been clicking everywhere within the game to get it to run. When I go to start a new game, the mod gives me the option of starting at any level. When I click on Training through level 9, it chimes and does nothing. However, when I click on level 10 or 11, it begins to load. In the bottom corner, it says "Generating Pathnode Connections" and a counter counts up to 635. It then goes back to the menu with a notice saying "Compiled Failed".
On a side note, has anyone been able to get the game to run on Win 7 using these ISO's.

Re: Star Trek Elite Force 2 won't start a new game Topic is solved
works fine
Win 95 ... nope
win 98 ... was installed, starts, it plays
win xp sp2 ... was installed, starts, it plays
win xp sp3 ... was installed, starts, it plays
Vista ... was installed, starts, it plays only when you install DX9 from the menu and run it in win98 compatibility with Adim rights
Win 7 32bit ... was installed, starts, it plays only when you install DX9 from the menu and run it in win98 compatibility with Adim rights
Win 7 64bit ... was installed, starts, it plays only when you install DX9 from the menu and run it in win98 compatibility with Adim rights
Win 8 ... was installed, starts, it plays only when you install DX9 from the menu and run it in win98 compatibility with Adim rights
Win 8.1 ... was installed, starts, it plays only when you install DX9 from the menu and run it in win98 compatibility with Adim rights
version tested : Scary funs 2 CDs
Game has no Third party Cp [copy protection] only a simple CP cd check for CD1 [name and looking for file list] so you have to have it mounted in a virtual Drive or have it in your cd/dvd drive because you showed the tendency to burn things on medias
patch 1.1 was NOT EVEN INSTALLED but even when you install it game runs in the same configurations
so
CD1 mounted in a virtual or real Drive will make the game run
I give you Visual AIDS :

Question to the User about his nature : How old are you ? , How well do you know computers ? How well do you understand written English ?
