Doom 64: Absolution (Total Conversion)

Post by Trismogestos »

This is a remake of the original Doom 64 for the N64 Nintendo Game System!

An original Doom2.wad is still required for playing.

Check it out - it's awesome!

That link has been dead for a while.

Go here if you want Doom 64: Absolution TC.

A link on the Mod/Addon page is needed as well

You can get Doom64 High-res weapons here.

Just add the file to: C:\Absolution\Bin\Data\doom64\Auto

There are some high-res title screens also, I'll post'em up soon as I find the link again.

Try here for the Doom64 High-res titles.

Let me know if it works ok. It's my first time using a web-hosting service.

Just in case anybody doesn't know, you add the zip file just as it is (do not unzip) to:

C:\Absolution\Bin\Data\doom64\Auto

CorRiz, i think this hi-res titles download requires an url ... maybe i'm a moron, but i'm the one that couldn't make it work.

EDIT:
thx buddy, got it working now! seems like a dandy way to download, too - very good speed and the waiting countdown isn't too painful :)

When you click the link you'll go to RapidShare then just scroll down till you see "Free" click that and scroll to the bottom again, wait for the countdown and after that you will be able to get the file.

Well....

Post by Señor-X »

I played this "Doom 64:Absolution TC" last year and I didn't like it that much (I'm not saying it is bad).
The only thing I did like is that it uses the "Doomsday" engine.

I never finished D64, but after reading this thread I think I'm gonna give it a try once again.

I see that the links for the Hi-Res weapons and Titles have been added to the Mod/Addon area.

Thanks Scaryfun.

I want to add that I myself have had no involvement in these and the creator for both of those is "Hellbound Hillbilly".

I thought it might be nice to give "Hellbound Hillbilly" a mention on the site somewhere for his excellent work.

Thanks again.

Ok, done! I would've linked to a webpage with info on it if I found any but didn't. He surely deserves proper credit. WTG.

I found the Titles at the New Doom Forums but he didn't post a website just the link to download it.
You can view his posts they are still there but you may have to register to do search for "Hellbound Hillbilly" to view them.

As for the Hi-Res weapons, I got those here just click jDOOM on the left then scroll down a bit to see.

He can be sent a private message through the New Doom Forums but like I say you'll need to register to do that.

Let me know if you don't want the link to the New Doom Forums on here and I'll remove it if you wish.
