Hi. I try to write this code that is inside the serial.txt when i try to boot up the game, and i get this message that 'this CD-rom is not legit' for some reason. Help!

The serial is for the gold edition you did download the GOLD edition right? The game also needs to be updated first.

You will need to mount the FGPGULL1.mdf file with Daemon Tools 10.14 SCSI!

The serialnumber is also tied to that particular CD/image, it wont work on your own copy.

Just confirmed that everthing works in a VM in addition to my main computer. So if the image gets detected as invalid while mounted as SCSI, there is something wrong with your configuration of Daemon Tools/other conflicts. (Multiple virtual drives/optical drives, seems to be a common fault.)

IDE mode also work, but I did use SCSI myself.

Also just tried it on my Intel laptop, incase there were some platform related issue I werent aware of. There it worked after I rebooted my system, as Daemon Tools promted me to do.

The particular version I'm using incase there were multiple version of Daemon Tools 10.14.

Multiple versions of 10.14 indeed exist, but the latest one from the Daemon Tools website still works. They dont like being installed on top of eachother, so uninstall the old version first.

Alcohol 120% Free Edition also got an update this week, so it also works with that (just tested). I'm not aware of CD-COPS having a grace period, or whatever the proper english term is. So I think it should work with that on from the get go.

Bundled with some adware, but it should be safe if you decline the various options.

If this doesnt work on you computer I'm not sure what is the cause. There may be a general issue with multiple optical drives and storage devices.

In Daemon Tools it is essential that the image (MDF/MDS) gets mounted as SCSI, and that the latest patch FGPGOLD_UPD12 is applied. You also likely need a wrapper on a modern OS.

D3Dlmm and DDRAW from the dgvoodo 2 wrapper is still needed, if the defaults dont work or the game start minimized try forcing a low resolution of say 800x600 in the dgvoodo 2 control panel. Set FX5700 compatibility etc..
