I know this topic hasn't that got much involvement, but I think Hades Challenge is one of those games that requires the first non-C drive to be D

i know A Bug's Life Active Play isn't actually copy-protected, but I still think a no-cd file for the game should be made, in the case of someone not having a D drive for a CD drive

I know this topic isn't is active at the moment...but I think The Incredibles When Danger Calls is copy-protected, if anyone knows of a no-cd for this, it'd be much appreciated :)

It seems user LASTOFASS has made a no-disc fix for that Incredibles game and many others. There's a torrent pack of many of his fixes https://only-soft.org/viewtopic.php?t=199880
I know he's on rutracker which is blocked by a bunch of countries but can be bypassed with vpn, and also is on old-games.ru so individual fix might be downloaded there.

@scaryfun thanks for that, I tried old games RU, but I couldn't find it on there, and I couldn't view that forum thing :shock: I don't think there's any chance of me downlaoding it
by the way, what's up with the firewall dll in the ISO for Cars 2 the Video Game? (is the "no-cd" in that ISO safe too?), https://gamecopyworld.eu/games/pc_winni ... ed%20Files are these files the same as what you have in your Winnie the Pooh 2011 download?

sorry for my late response, but thanks for that link, I found the file (does ND stand for No Disk by the way?), how do I use this no-cd fix?

Oh, I checked that No-CD recently, and seems that he made it for one of Russian editions that had a simple disc check (ND apparently stands for Noviy Disk, which is a Russian publisher), so I'm afraid it won't work for a SecuROM-protected English release. :(

According to Redump, there might have been a DRM-free USA release, but that dump doesn't seem to be available anywhere right now, though it's not MIA either, so there's a chance that it will be shared in the future.

It doesn't hurt to try, perhaps the changes are next to none in both releases structurally and it'll go through?

I actually did try, but that No-CD obviously couldn't do anything - it doesn't even replace the game's .exe, it's just an .ini file. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But that idea might actually give us something still! The game was released in Russian by Noviy Disk twice: one edition had no protection other than basic disc check (the .ini by LASTOFASS is for that one), and an earlier one that was protected by some old version of StarForce, the latter has a proper patched .exe by CyberDemon. And looks like English version actually boots with that No-CD, although I haven't tested it too much to see if anything breaks.

Steps to use CyberDemon's No-CD:
1. Install the game and then copy "Data" folder from the disc into the game's installation folder;
2. Replace original copy-protected Incredibles.exe with the patched one from the archive linked above;
3. Apply changes to registry by executing either TheIncrediblesWDC_x86.reg (for 32-bit OS) or TheIncrediblesWDC_x64.reg (64-bit OS) that are included in the same archive.

Edit: Alternatively, instead of doing steps 2 & 3 you can try replacing Incredibles.exe with one from that non-StarForce release and also Incredibles.ini with the one that LASTOFASS made; here's both files in one archive.

Hopefully we'll see that real DRM-free release shared one day, but for now this might be a working way to play the game in English.

Sorry for double-posting, but if you're still interested, I tested that Incredibles game with unprotected .exe from Russian release a little more.
I unlocked and completed all of the mini games, and I haven't noticed anything out of order: there were no bugs or crashes, and everything's in English (including closed captions), so I think it's safe to assume that no changes were made to that .exe during localization that would make it incompatible with the original release.
Here's another ready-to-use No-CD pack; you can either replace just the "Incredibles.exe" file and leave your ISO mounted, or follow couple simple steps in the included readme to make it so the disc is not needed at all anymore.
