From googling, I came upon this:
"I can confirm that choosing one of the VPNGate servers from this list https://www.vpngate.net/en/#LIST
(with some trial and error) indeed worked (as of 24/08/2023), and you don't even need to install any client if you decide to simply add an MS-SSTP connection for instance."

Supposedly they block certain VPNs even from Japanese servers, so just have to find one that isn't blocked like the one above.
