Guys help me to install Crysis, im on win 7
I followed this instruction for installing, I don't understand the bit in Bold purple bit bellow ive got the image from here at 3DSL in Virtual CD 10.
Does Virtual CD 10 need tweaking ?? I click install it starts and I select easy install, it says copying new files but then kinda just sits there for ages, is it not getting past the protection or something??
Mounting instructions:
Use Virtual CD v10 to mount the image and install the game. The image has to be
mounted into a physical drive in order to bypass the copy protection.
cheers
Sid

Re: Crysis!!
I've installed Crysis on a couple of Win7 computers. Can't remember having any problems, but they were burned discs.

Re: Crysis!!
Physical drive would mean you'd have to burn image to disc, yup. In other words, you can't use a virtual drive.

Re: Crysis!!
I'm pretty sure you can mount the virtual drive on top of/in place of a physical drive. I remember having to do that for another game, and thinking at the time it was a real mindf*ck.

Re: Crysis!!
The installation part is not copy protected, so you can install the game via the default Virtual CD virtual drive. I remember the installation of the game takes quite some time, so please be patient.
To play the game the image has to be mounted in your physical drive to bypass the SecuROM protection. There's no need to burn the images, check this video for more information:

VCD10 can use REAL DRIVES AS VIRTUAL DRIVES !!Sid wrote:Mounting instructions:

thats the magic of VCD10 , just select your real drive and mount the image with Right mouse button or with the Vcd10 main program window into the LETTER THAT YOUR REAL MEDIA DRIVE USES ...
to explain it hijacks/softhacks the real ide drive drivers and fakes a real dvd/cd insert ... making 1:1 VCD clones made in vcd10 work every time ... but the thing is YOU HAVE TO HAVE A REAL cd/DVD DRIVE INSTALLED INTO YOUR PC to make it work
