Multiplayer recommendations

Have a p4 3.4ghz etc with xp sp2 for host comp, then an old p3 600mhz, 384ram and 64mb graphics as second player.

Any recommend any good FPS games that would work on both computers via TCP/IP multiplayer?

unreal tournament period.

make sure you turn on vsync on your machine so you dont overpower his frames per second

Yep, thats the first game I thought of!

I might scour the site this afternoon in work on the lookout for games....

Playing Doom and Doom2 (or any doom-engine based game really) on the Doomsday port is nice too. That is, if you're into running older games on newer PC's...

soldier of fortune 1 maybe part 2 also
dont know

quake 3 (ut is in my opinion a <i>fudge</i> copy)

counter strike

day of defeat

medal of honor etc etc and so on there are many games !!!

Bah, UT was superior.... more diverse levels (both outdoor and indoor) and no friggin jumppads to name a few reasons.

well that about q3 and Ut depends from the sight of the user
its relativ

but i think they have stolen the whole gameplay and added some things

i like to play quake 3 more than ut since i can think that ut (first part)
and q3 are released

Get SkullTag, grab your Doom2.wad and start fragging!

Another recommendation: Quake with the addon Malice. This was the best when it came out - real multiplayer havoc nonstop. Still nothing can ever beat Doom, though. Get a port like Telejano if you want.

I would have to agree with Narfous - almost every older title is worth your time more than those new crappy "games".

I have read your replies and i have 2 things to say:
first of all this topic should be in MULTIPLAYER forum
secondly: I recommend UT, cuz it`s one of the best FPS i have ever seen, and ,even after many years since it was released, I can say "WOW! a great game" when playing it

dont u think quake 3 is much better ? faster graphics etc ? i mean its ID stuff !

like doom and doom 2 just great for multiplayer its still the best i can just say what someone said before
