Running Shrak for Quake

Running Shrak for Quake
I'm trying to run the Shrak mod for Quake but to no avail. I unziped the files into the Quake(r) directory and executed the file SHRAK.BAT, just like the manual says but I still can't get the game to work. The manual says that, after you run the bat file you start Quake "with the Shrak experience", but I only see Quake. What should I do?

make a floder named "Shark"
place the addon there
then make a .txt file with this info in it :
rename the .txt to .bat
and run the bat file , simple
Have fun

Quake.exe is for DOS and Win9x.
