I want to run it but...
Shutting down OpenGL (soft)
renderer version: GL 2.01
...using opengl32.dll
...calling LoadLibrary( 'opengl32'.dll ): failed
...shutting down QGL
...using voodoogl.dll
...assuming 'voodoogl' is a minidriver
.....WARNING: missing Glide installation, assuming no 3Dfx available
...shutting down QGL
Couldn't write q3config.cfg.
No OpenGL subsystem found!
please help!!

what graphic card have you got becoz we aren`t psicic here
but those errors means that :
1.you have no Opengl drivers
2 or your card cannot handle open GL
3.or your game is corupted
but still need more input

I got the the same error.
None of hfric's 3 points apply.
I did manage to play it though, just about, by using a glide wrapper.

just delete all the gl dlls in the q3 test folder as they're really there as a voodoo2 minigl. It will then start using your video card.

install the GLSetup.exe found on the original cd or on the net
this sounds exactly like that i got the same error years ago when i tried to run SOF

Narfous is right, delete the gl dlls and it runs fine.
I did actually try this since I'm familiar with doing it with Quake 1, guess I just didnt delete the right dll before.
Delete:
Code: Select all
GLU32.dll
GLUT32.dll
opengl32.dll
voodoogl.dll
and it runs. The bots are shocking bad though >_<

are you kidding? Glsetup has been out of date for over 6 years.
