Help: I can't unpack mq2001.7z.001 - 003 ???

Post by Psykomanius »

I have now dll "Quake World 2001" 3 times :x

I have open it in WinRAR, WinZIP and Zip7.

But i just get this error when i will open it in WinRAR "mq2001.7z001" "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" ???

And when i open it in Zip7, i just got a now file, i can't open. I now get this error "Incorrect command line" ???

I got the same problems on "Quake 2 Anthology", "Quake World 2001" and "Quake World 3".

Please Delacroix ...

Could be split with hjsplit or something, that uses the same extentions.

They're all 7-Zip files....first unzip the 7z.001 file then unzip the resulting 7z file. Frankly, 7zip extracting screws up my computer so I don't really like it.

7zip expansion of mq2001.7z.001, mq2001.7z.002 & mq2001.7z.003 gives a single 618M mq2001.7z file which is totally unusable...
Both Quake World 3 & Quake 2 Anthology expand here correctly in a ISO file!

What do you mean the single 618M mq2001.7z file is totally unusable?
Did you try extracting it with 7-zip ?

Yes I tried, but no way.
'Quake World 3' and 'Quake 2 Anthology' expand directly in a single .ISO file.

mq2001 doesn't expand in an .ISO but a single 618M file: mq2001.7z
Size seems OK but trying to expand further with 7zip (or anything alse) gives error "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

I noticed expansion time of this one is shorter.
Looks like incomplete process or something.

Firstly, I had old version of 7-Zip...when I got new one, it doesn't hang up my computer anymore when extracting.
But unfortunately, it looks like your're right....I get message that it is not supported archive on the 7z file. :?

Delacroix please check yours...

Try renaming the single 7z file to ISO. Perhaps something got screwed with the filename...

Right-click on .7z.001 and choose 7-zip >> Extract files. And it should extract properly. I just downloaded the files and it worked. The same with Target, which in turn =D= complained about. I don't understand.

Only mq2001 is a problem.
Delacroix, did you try with this proper one archive?

Right-Click = no go
Rename as .iso = no go
I re-downloaded all 3 mq2001 files. Still no go.

Friendly,
:?
