Should the 4Share upload standard file size be raised?
I know that 40-50MB was the standard upload file size for 4Share. Wasn't that because the old size Max on there was 50MB? Since the Max has been raised to 100MB shouldn't we ask for the standard to be closer to 100MB? It would halve the number of files you need to download in most cases.
I do understand that many of these uploads are archives of the original uploads and it would be impractical to re-rar them with larger breaks, but for new files being uploaded I think it might help.

Yes, it would halve the number of files, but I still remember those hard days I was on the freaking dial-up when downloading a 50 megs monsters was an adventure in itselfTrey wrote:Since the Max has been raised to 100MB shouldn't we ask for the standard to be closer to 100MB? So, as far as I am concerned (and I, alas, don't upload much), the max size will stay around 50 MBs. Some wretched bastard with dial-up will get his small chance.

And if a file gets corrupt, it's much easier to upload 50 megs than 100 megs.
I decided a while ago to use 50 megs per file if the game has 2 cds or less
and 100 megs if it has 3 discs or more. For DVDs I usually use 100 megs
per file, but if the game is relatively small, then it's 50 megs.

Nunc est bibendum!

but if someone`s lazy
100 MB parts r better than 50 MB parts
500 MB = 5 x 100 = 5 clicks = 500 MB lol
500 MB = 10 x 50 = 10 clicks = 500 MB but much more clicks
and upping 10, 100 MB files isnt as much work as upping 20, 50 MB files
but well .....ah......whatever........
just wanted to say that im pissed off sometimes cause i have to download 50 mb parts instead of 100 ones......
oh and dont get me wrong now dudes
i love your uploads and btw between the lines....plz keep it up...... but like i said sometimes it just pisses me off
