Early Access Release
The team behind this free retro space flight sim, complete with 90s-era pixel art and gorgeous pink explosions started working on it back in May of 2010 on their own engine before converting it to Unity engine. It's a retro sim with modern graphics, optimizations and effects. This action-orientated space simulation is reminiscent of titles such as Wing Commander and the X-Wing series. The ships have a great arcade feel, nimble and agile, making dogfights a delight. This makes it easy to pick up and play, but there’s also plenty of depth, with plenty of advanced tactics available thanks to the ships energy management system and a nice selection of weaponry. One of the best things about the game though, is the graphical style, it uses a mixture of sprite and basic 3D polygon graphics to great effect. |
