Exteel is a 3rd-person view online game (similar to Virtual On and Armored Core) featuring stylized action in a universe filled with robots. The story takes you to a far off world where the exiled survivors of a lost war struggle against each other for control of the planet's resources. You can create, customize and develop their own robots using a robust character creation tool, with easy-to-access gameplay and a unique merging of strategic combat and high-speed action reminiscent of the stunning action seen in Hong Kong martial arts movies. The game is free to download and play, but NCcoins, an in-game micropayment system, allows players to purchase more powerful weapons, skills, and parts. The game's maps contain advertisements for other NCsoft titles, most likely to justify for free play of the game. There are four game modes available currently, Death Match, Team Death Match, Last Stand, and Territory Control. They are all time limited with the winner decided by the amount points obtained within that time limit. Draws occur when the round ends and there is an equalibrium in points on both teams or in separate players. Winners get more experience and credit than the losers. Exteel features various types of weapons for melee, short range, medium, and long range combat. As you battle, the durability of weapons and armors will deteriorate. To repair them, buy Repair Points from the store on the "Other" tab. You are able to incorporate and upgrade many attributes to your mech as you gain levels and ranks. You gain 3 "Pilot Points" per level. Each stat costs 2 Pilot Points to increase and has a maximum level of 30, aside from the Marksmanship stat. As of September/2010 the game will be shut down. | ||
