This is an expansion pack for Hexen. You have to escape from the realm of the dead and make your way to the dark Citadel. There are no new additions to the engine. Three new hubs with 20 big levels and a couple of deathmatch levels make up for a long but not very entertaining game. Up to eight players can now compete over a LAN in multiple deathmatch modes. The final level of the expansion, the Dark Citadel itself, is an arena-like level, which features teleporting waves of monsters and three bosses (Fighter, Cleric, and Mage clones). This pack did not initially include nor enable any music for the extra levels. This was later fixed with dkpatch. | ||
