Baldr Bullet [J] GIGA 2000

At one point of the human history, a computer system was created that could manage everything that happened on Earth. Known as Baldr System, it wasn't accepted by everyone, and groups opposing it were formed. Violent skirmishes between these groups and the Baldr System Fellowship Association (BFA) occurred in South America. Both sides used giant mechas (HAWS) for combat. Sergey Kirkland was just transferred to the Baldr System Observation Structure Army (BS-OSA), a military group tasked with watching BFA actions and ensuring that the conflict will not evolve into a global war. Commanding the elite SERR-14 unit, Sergey encounters an enigmatic enemy that adds more unanswered questions to the complex situation. This is a prequel to Baldr games; the main hero is the ancestor of the protagonist of Baldrhead. Gameplay-wise, it retains and expands upon the combat mechanics first introduced in that game, though with faster moves, reliance on combo attacks, and more weapons. Like in the previous games, weapons and attacks can be customized and leveled up. Unlike Baldrhead, there is no exploration whatsoever in the game. It evolves like a visual novel, with a flow of text interrupted by the player's choices (which may branch the storyline) and combat scenes that occur in fixed, confined locations.
