Enlisted Darkflow Software / Gaijin Entertainment 2021

Early Access Release Once again, we take up arms and join the struggle on the fronts of World War II. To begin with, the developers introduced two extensive campaigns – Operation Typhoon (The Battle of Moscow), and Overlord (Battle of Normandy). These operations were divided into a few stages, during which we encounter various characters and received access to new weapons, fitting the historical event which is being replayed in the scenario. This is a multiplayer-only title, but the available modes are different than what the genre has accustomed us to – the individual scenarios are not just a set of maps adapted to typical set of modes. The developers wanted to recreate the feel of a real conflict, so the scenarios give groups of players random objectives which are similar to single player missions, e.g. a trek to reach operational positions, securing an area for deployment, etc. The action is seen from a first person perspective – the developers introduced a TPP camera, but concur that the first person perspective mode provides the best experience. Enlisted employs Dagor Engine, which was used previously in War Thunder. The engine is able to create large maps with destructible environments, and can support up clashes with up to 100 players participating simultaneously. It's released in an unusual business model. Each campaign is a separate game available in a digital form. However, bought scenarios can be chosen in the game’s main menu which serves as an overlay for all entries.
