This is a free fan-made FPS from Poland, made in thrash-style. Levels are flat planes; in the distance you can see the breaks of monochromatic mountains, and in the vicinity of the starting point there are walls that form nooks of different shapes and sizes, in the second half of the game - more often rooms and corridors. Each map, except for the final one, has a hidden door to the next stage. Locations are slightly decorated - sometimes there are vases, then columns, then a well, then something else. Opponents are represented by a set of all sorts of creatures - bald peasants with pitchforks, goblins with clubs, bats, some slugs, skeletons, mummies, necromancers in black cloaks, knights and so on. Enemies look funny and not scary at all. The twentieth level is the final boss fight. The game has as many as eight types of weapons, selected as you progress. His ammunition is limited, his health, of course, is also not infinite, and therefore, in addition to new weapons, it is worth collecting cartridges and first-aid kits. It is important to take into account that all guns use the same type of cartridges, but in very different quantities - from five to two hundred (!) Pieces per shot. This should be taken into account when choosing what to shoot with at the moment, because it is very easy to stay with an empty store here, although there are always enough boxes on the maps. On the other hand, the maximum is not set - you can accumulate at least ten thousand cartridges and health units. There is no need to say that the enemies in this masterpiece have artificial intelligence, but they still know how to do something - in particular, they can detect the player and move towards him along a straight trajectory rather slowly - but on the other hand, if you stand by walls, there is a risk of getting hit through it, because a resourceful enemy approached from the other side. However, this does not cause any inconvenience, because all objects on the map, whether they are opponents, bonuses or an exit door, sometimes glimpse through the walls - not because they are transparent, but because Tresh 3D is so perfect from the technical point of view. You also need to be prepared for invisible obstacles that prevent you from passing, and, of course, for problems with the speed of the game, which even at the maximum number of cycles in DOSBox do not pass, and individual moments turn into a slideshow. Special effects are completely absent, and the animation is very poor - just a couple of variations for each creature. The strong point here is the soundtrack - various exclamations of enemies, the sounds of picking up boxes and first-aid kits, shots and even a simple change of weapons. |
