The rarest and oldest Spanish flying game with a first-person view, painfully similar to slot machines no less ancient than itself. The essence of the game - it is necessary to destroy the flying saucers of aliens (the name of the game in Spanish means "UFO"), moving forward endlessly and getting points for the said destruction. Of course, there is no and cannot be a specific plot, and the quality of the graphics does not allow us to understand whether we are in space or above the surface of some planet; the movement of our abstract ship is automatic - know that you have time to move the cursor-sight back and forth and destroy the emerging armadas. All enemies fly towards us, all are killed with one shot, those who escaped death fly past us and disappear into the unknown; our ship has a reserve of "life", moreover, a significant one, but it is by no means infinite; however, each plate, approaching us, can shoot at most a couple of times. No bonuses provided. Graphics - only CGA, very minimalistic, the "lower background" can hurt your eyes a lot; however, it is very pleasing that there are several types of flying saucers (albeit differing mainly in colors). The level of difficulty is also pleasing - at first the game seems to be simple, but literally after ten seconds the number of enemies present on the screen at the same time increases very, very much. Of course, perhaps the only value of Ovni is a collectible, but as a simple cure for nostalgia that can captivate for just a couple of minutes, it may well fit. |
