This is just your normal shoot-em-up, but something's wrong with the window. Made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 54. It's a clever little roguelike twin-stick shooter that takes place within a window that you move around the desktop. The gameplay of Windowkill takes place within a window (and some separate windows) that you can expand and move around your desktop by shooting them. As you blast enemies you collect gems that you can use to purchase upgrades, such as increasing fire rates and multi-shots. Things start off fairly easily, but once enemies start popping up in their own windows it gets tricky fast. It’s a simple but inventive and addictive game that looks very cool as you blast your windows around the desktop. A game that thinks outside the box about playing inside a box. With v3.0, the game was made a commercial release on Feb 23/2024. |
