This is an orthodox side-scrolling shooting game released in 1994 for the NEC PC-9801 and EPSON PC series. It realized raster scrolling using EGC (enhanced graphic charger), and was highly technological at the time. RADIAS for Windows95 was released in 1996, and was a nearly unchanged port of the PC-9801 version. It uniquely realized the same level of drawing and high-speed overlay processing as "WinG", and achieved practical operating speeds with the meager i486DX/66MHz CPU, which was still in use as a low-end at the time. It is now a thing of the past both in terms of content and technology, and is released as free software. |
