"A.I.M." is a 3D adventure simulator set in sci-fi world of extremely distant future.
Game action unfolds on Range-4 - an abandoned planet, formerly a military test zone.
The player flies over the world in a glider - a multipurpose combat vehicle with
antigravity engines. However, traveling is not the goal of the game, though exploration
of a new area exposes new opportunities. Player engages in combat, trade, fulfils
different quests, communicates with similar robot creatures, and takes part in
organizations' relations. He can upgrade his glider, buy more powerful weapons and
gain access to hidden information and unique gliders. The player discovers a huge
game universe consisting of 8 different zones. Profitable trade and successful
combats will quickly help the player to earn money to purchase a more powerful glider,
and better weapons. You can join an organization and enlist its support but there are
plenty of them and they often are at war with each other. Victorious battles increase
player's rating. Decent rating opens for a player an opportunity to acquire unique
weapons and gliders, to become a member of a powerful clan. Completing quests set by
bases or organizations quickly raises both player's rating and funds. However, tasks
set by organizations can change the relations with other foundations. Player spends
the most part of the game at open spaces of battle zones carrying out missions,
delivering cargoes, or free hunting. Special buildings providently dispersed over each
zone make it possible for a player to obtain information, to trade or to get a quest.
4 categories of gliders are available 30+ in all including biomechanical - from
small-size lightweights to bulky heavy vehicles. Enemies can be obliterated using
30+ various weapons, mines, bombs and missiles. |
