This arcade flight simulator follows the exploits of James Charles Bisscup, a British Royal Flying corp. pilot. As a member of the 60th division James has to complete 20 dangerous missions taking place during the First World War. Some of them must be performed alone, while on others James will be accompanied by a wing of allied planes, which he can give commands to. The missions are quite diverse. While most of them involve a lot of dogfighting with German biplanes, some of them require player to defend a strategic object, patrol through a number of checkpoints or destroy ground and naval targets. After completing these missions new types of planes become available to the player, which then can be accessed in a multiplayer mode, supporting up to 16 players. While not striving for any historical accuracy and deliberately simplifying the flight mechanics the game will be of most interest to action-oriented gamers than those who prefer a serious flight simulation. |
