Allegedly this is only somewhat polished versions of Catacomb Apocalypse. A magic and monster themed first person shooter built on an advanced version of the Wolfenstein 3D engine. Curse sends the player into 16 levels of mazes culminating in a battle with the evil sorcerer Nemesis. Features that Curse added to the early FPS genre included enemies that climb out of the ground and walls, treasures that are destroyed by wayward shots, and a "radar" scope that shows anything sneaking up on the player from behind. The levels range from standard dungeon settings and a creepy forest to flaming infernos and a high tech prison. |
